GREEN Obligations

Many progressive cities in Orange County are creating positive change while protecting the environment by offering voluntary green building programs for builders to follow. Whether they’ve adopted an existing comprehensive certification program or developed their own proprietary set of guidelines, many jurisdictions offer valuable incentives to encourage builders to incorporate the new green building standards into their new projects.

All green building programs in Orange County are voluntary, not mandatory, which gives builders more flexibility during the planning stages.

Please take a moment to review the following list of Orange County cities who have officially adopted a specific green building certification program or developed their own.
