ProTec’s New Interactive, Virtual “Green” Homeowner Association (HOA) & Homeowner Maintenance Manuals

ProTec introduces the Nation’s first “Green” Interactive, Virtual Homeowner Association (HOA) and Homeowners Manuals. These new "Green" certified manuals comply with LEED, California Green Builder, Build it Green, California Department of Housing & Community Development and also the California Energy Commission 2005 Building Energy Efficiency Standards. Proactive builders throughout the US are already providing ProTec's manuals to their homebuyers and new home communities to provide total customer satisfaction and achieve substantial risk reduction.

ProTec’s new “Green” manuals will satisfy the growing demand to "Go Green" and go “Paperless” on the web. ProTec's manuals encompass “Green” methodologies by meeting the requirements under LEED for New Construction EA Prerequisite 1, Fundamental Commissioning of the Building Energy Systems and EA Credit 3, Enhanced Commissioning and qualify for LEED points. They also meet the LEED for Homes AE2 Education of the Building Manager. ProTec's new "Green" manuals also satisfy the requirements of California’s "Draft Residential Green Building Standards (Summary List).”

While it is great to build a Home and Community that achieves energy, design, water, site and other resource efficiencies, it would be a huge waste of these resources if these efficiencies are reduced or eliminated because Homeowners or HOAs did not understand or know how to maintain the components that create these savings.

Some of the new building components will be new to consumers (solar PV (Photovoltaic) energy systems, porous concrete, tankless water heaters, etc.) These will require regular proactive maintenance. ProTec's "Green" manuals give the builder the security of knowing that the Homeowner and Homeowners Association have been given the correct maintenance information for these components.

ProTec also introduces a new, dynamic, interactive, web-based approach to Community and Homeowner maintenance information. ProTec has entered into an exclusive agreement with SmartProperty.com (Community maintenance) and DwellingLive.com (Homeowner maintenance).

SmartProperty.com and DwellingLive.com have developed web-based maintenance management systems that will provide direct, interactive maintenance information, schedules and checklists. Developers, Homeowners, Community Managers and Association Board Members will have the ability to manage all their maintenance activities and record-keeping directly from their computer.

ProTec provides the actual maintenance information that is included in the on-line programs offered by SmartProperty.com and DwellingLive.com, through the creation of one of our industry-leading Homeowner Manuals and/or Homeowners Association (Common Area) Maintenance Manuals.

Come see the Nations first “Green”, Virtual & Interactive manuals in Colorado Springs at the NAHB Multifamily Pillars Conference from April 1st to April 3rd or in San Francisco at PCBC (Booth 5528) June 24th through June 27th. Learn how ProTec Building Services, SmartProperty.com and DwellingLive.com have joined forces to provide the best web-based community and home maintenance management systems available today.

ProTec completed the manuals for three new “Green” communities. These include Elleven, a LEED Gold high-rise in downtown Los Angeles built by The South Group and can be seen at www.exploresouthgroup.com; Depot Walk, a LEED Gold multi-family attached community in Orange County built by The Olsen Company and can be seen at www.olsonhomes.com; Green City Lofts a LEED Gold Townhome project located in Emeryville, Ca., built by Green City Lofts, LLC. and can be seen at www.greencitylofts.com.
