The principal of ProTec, Dave Rauch, wrote the "original" HOA maintenance manual in 1991 in reaction to "deferred maintenance" triggering frivolous construction defect litigation. Many others have now copied ProTec’s manuals. However, writing an HOA maintenance manual without implementing it through a monthly maintenance program is disingenuous. Company History
ProTec was founded in February 1996.
ProTec has written HOA maintenance manuals for over 600 new communities throughout the United States. ProTec currently maintains over 300 communities in Southern California.
In 2001, Inc. Magazine included ProTec on its list of 500 fastest-growing companies in the US. In 2002 ProTec was acknowledged as the 29th fastest-growing company in San Diego.
